About Me
السلام عليكم
I'm Beney, a software developer based in the Maldives.
What I Do
I work primarily with Laravel and modern web technologies, building systems that help people navigate complex processes.
IMUGA - Immigration Management System
Currently, I'm working on IMUGA, a comprehensive immigration management system for the Maldives. The project handles multiple aspects of immigration services, making it easier for both applicants and immigration officials to manage various processes.
The system includes:
- Visa applications (work visas, business visas, and more)
- Maldivian passport services
- Traveller declarations
- Document verification workflows
- Application tracking and status management
IMUGA aims to streamline immigration services across the country, providing a unified platform for diverse immigration-related needs.
What I Care About
Beyond just writing code, I care about:
- Building accessible systems that serve real people
- Writing clean, maintainable code
- Creating intuitive experiences that reduce friction
- Solving real-world problems through technology
What You'll Find Here
This blog is a space for me to share:
- Technical notes — lessons learned while building IMUGA and other projects
- Reading reflections — thoughts on books and ideas
- Personal observations — perspectives on faith, life, and work
I write in both English and Dhivehi, depending on the topic and audience.
Beyond Code
Outside of development, I spend time reading, thinking about Islamic perspectives on modern life, and trying to live with intention in an increasingly noisy world.
